Hi,

We are running a MongoDB cluster with version 2.4.9 and we want to upgrade
it to 2.6.11

We are running mongod as a windows service as per the
document https://docs.mongodb.org/manual/release-notes/2.6-upgrade/
when I am trying to upgrade the binaries of secondary's (one by one) to
2.6.11 binaries and trying to start MongoDB service, it's not able to start.

Getting message: The service did not respond to the start or control
request in a timely fashion

Can someone help me with this

Regards,
Vishesh

Have a look in the mongod.log file. There should be more info in there as
to why it can't start.

fyi, I am running the MongoDB as:
"C:\mongodb\bin\mongod.exe" --service
--config="C:\mongodb\scripts\mongod.conf"

And the mongod.conf file contains:
port=27017
dbpath=E:\MongoDB\data\db
logpath=D:\logs\MongoDB\mongo.log
keyFile=C:\MongoDB\Scripts\keyfile.txt
logappend=true
replSet=tf4
smallfiles=true
oplogSize=10240
directoryperdb=true

If I replace the binaries to 2.4.9, it's working. But when replace with
2.6.11 binaries then it's not working

It's working now. I was upgrading from 64bit 2.4.9 to 32 bit 2.6.11
When I replace the binaries to 64bit 2.6.11 it works.
Thanks
